Bromine flame retardant (39568-99-5) is easy to use. It can be directly added to textiles (polyester, viscose, blended, cotton, pure polyester) after treatment, and finish the whole process at room temperature. It is a new non-polluting fiber flame retardant. Compared with the conventional product PBDEs, the addition of the flame retardant does not produce toxic dibenzo-benzo-oxane and PBDEs when the polymer is hot cracked or burned. This kind of flame retardant is very popular among the new flame retardants introduced in the 1990s in the United States.
